Use of Personnel Information: When VWHOA collects information from residents of the community, the lists primary use shall be to provide an up to date communication medium. We will not disclose personal information collected unless required by law or other special cases described below.
Registration: Subscribers are asked to provide certain personal information when they sign up for the mailing list (including name, address, and telephone number) to maintain the list of current residents up to date.
Email inquiries: When visitors send email inquiries to the VWHOA, the return email address is used to answer the email inquiry we receive. WVHOA. does not use the return email address for any other purpose and does not share the return email address with any third party.
Voluntary Resident Surveys: We may periodically conduct both community wide and individual resident surveys. We encourage our residents to participate in these surveys because they provide us with important information that aids in the improvement of common services we offer (waste management, security, common elements, etc.) and how we provide them to you. Information provided by you in response to surveys will not be shared with third parties. Participation in our resident surveys is voluntary.
Special Cases: It is VWHOA's policy not to use or share the personal information about subscribers in ways unrelated to the methods described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
However, VWHOA may disclose personal information about subscribers, or information regarding your use of the services or websites accessible through our services, for any reason if, in our sole discretion, we believe that it is reasonable to do so, including: to satisfy laws, such as the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, regulations, or governmental or legal requests for such information; to disclose information that is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating our user policies; to operate the services properly; or to protect VWHOA and our resident subscribers.
Public Forums: Please remember that any information you may disclose in public areas of our websites or the Internet becomes public information. You should exercise caution when deciding to disclose personal information in these public areas.
VWHOA's Commitment to Data Security: Services and websites we sponsor have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. While we make every effort to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, we cannot guarantee that our security measures will prevent third-party "hackers" from illegally obtaining this information.
How to Access or Modify Your Information: VWHOA offers subscribers the opportunity to access or modify information provided during registration. To access or modify your personnel information, enter the website through the Member Sign-in lik or contact our VWHOA communications administrator by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for additional instructions.
